OWC launches Spanish office
Renewable energy consultancy OWC has opened an office in Spain to back the country’s renewable energy ambitions, with particular emphasis on the country’s floating offshore wind plans. Ana Pirrone has been appointed to lead the office.
“We are at a pivotal moment in Spanish renewable energy, with the country’s first offshore wind auctions to be announced any day now and a 3GW target in floating wind. OWC has always been at the forefront of supporting new offshore wind markets, so the time feels right to enter the Spanish market.”
William Cleverly, CEO of OWC
OWC’s office in Spain will be based in Madrid at the following address: P.º de Recoletos, 5, Centro, 28004 .
It will be headed up by country manager Ana Pirrone, who will move from her current role as senior geotechnical engineer at OWC’s office in London, UK.
“This is the right time for OWC to officially enter the Spanish market, though we have been working there for some time along with our wider ABL Group sister companies. As Spain heads into its pivotal first offshore wind auction, we have the proven track-record and comprehensive technical offering to support developers in tackling the process from start to finish. I am really excited to take on this new and exciting role.”
