About

Tom is a highly capable and experienced geophysical consultant with over 17 years industry experience. He has in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of geophysical acquisition, interpretation, project management, HSE reporting and specialist technical support for major energy projects. Tom cofounded an independent geoscience consultancy which was acquired by ABL Group in 2021.

Experienced in sedimentological and structural seismic interpretation, Tom has worked on numerous large-scale renewable, oil & gas and civil projects across the globe. He is a geohazard, ground model and data interpretation/integration specialist who is focused on translating technical results into clear guidance for engineering.

Tom has project managed industry-leading and ‘breakthrough’ studies, including a new method of slope stability analysis in conjunction with world-leading academics and consultants. For this work he was awarded the David Hislop prize by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in 2018. Tom has also published several papers in leading journals and presented at both academic and industry conferences.

Having built a survey operational support service line from scratch, Tom also oversees the provision of Offshore Client Representatives globally for OWC, using his operational knowledge to provide pragmatic technical support to offshore surveys to ensure clients acquire fit-for-purpose data that will meet their engineering requirements.
