Okan Sargin serves as the Head of Wind & Site at OWC, leading a team that provides comprehensive support to authorities, project developers, utilities, and lenders in offshore projects. With a focus on bank-grade wind resource assessment and yield predictions, his team offers invaluable expertise and analysis. Okan has been actively involved in projects worldwide since 2006, combining hands-on analysis and modelling, technical subject-matter knowledge gained through consultancy work, project development experience, and a strong academic background driven by continuous education and research.

Okan holds an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul. He pursued further studies, earning an M.A. in Sound Engineering and an M.Sc. in Wind Energy Systems from the joint program between the University of Kassel and Fraunhofer IWES. Before joining OWC, Okan led an analysis team at Guidehouse, a position that further enhanced his skills and knowledge.

Throughout his career, Okan has worked for renowned companies such as SgurrEnergy, ABO Wind, and Lahmeyer International, where he held positions as a technical consultant, project manager for site appraisal, and wind and site project engineer, respectively. He has overseen measurement activities, conducted and reviewed numerous independent energy yield estimates, and performed post-construction analysis for a cumulative capacity of over 125 GW across onshore and offshore projects. Additionally, as a trusted technical advisor, Okan has reviewed third-party reports for a total capacity exceeding 43 GW.
