OWC Performs Technical Due Diligence on a Leading Chinese Wind Turbine Manufacturer

A team from OWC recently undertook a strategic visit to a leading Chinese wind turbine manufacturer and its key suppliers to perform in-depth technical due diligence on behalf of an international offshore wind farm developer.

The visit, which took place in February, comprised intensive workshops with the OEM’s technical teams and site visits to nacelle assembly and blade manufacturing facilities. The team also conducted separate visits to sub-supplier factories producing critical components, including wind turbine gearboxes and generators.

With over 32GW of wind turbine capacity installed in offshore wind projects across China, Chinese OEMs are increasingly positioning themselves to supply turbines to international markets. As these manufacturers seek to expand globally, technical due diligence plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and competitiveness of their technology.
