Give us a glimpse into your day-to-day life at OWC. What keeps you on your toes?
No two days are the same, which is exactly what I enjoy. My role spans commercial performance, project delivery, and supporting our clients across major offshore wind developments. I spend a lot of time engaging with clients and teams, resolving challenges, and ensuring we’re delivering value across complex projects. The pace of the industry and the scale of the challenges certainly keep me on my toes.
What drew you to the industry and what keeps you passionate about it?
As a geologist by background, I spent my early career working on supergiant oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan. That gave me real exposure to the scale of projects, their geopolitical significance, and the impact our work has on global energy systems.
I’ve always been passionate about the role energy plays in enabling how we live and grow as societies. Today, I’m proud to be part of OWC and to contribute to advancing the renewable energy agenda and supporting the transition. It’s also important to me to set that example for my daughters and be part of a positive, forward-looking change.

Can you tell us about something exciting you are working on right now?
I’m currently focused on supporting major UK offshore wind projects through our Project Services offering, as they move through critical development and delivery stages. A key part of this is strengthening project controls, with a strong emphasis on proactive risk management and mitigation, alongside effective interface management across complex, multi-contract supply chains.
Through these services, we help ensure projects are set up for successful execution and are resilient to the challenges of large-scale offshore delivery.
With AR7’s record results and similar projections on an upcoming AR8 – 2026 has been widely tipped as a ‘reset year’ in UK offshore wind. What do you see as the main market drivers to ensure that is the case?
The key will be turning ambition into deliverability. That means clarity on revenue frameworks, improving supply chain resilience, and ensuring projects are economically viable in a higher-cost environment. Stronger collaboration across developers, government, and suppliers will also be essential to maintain momentum.
With increasing levels of green energy curtailment, how can developers and the wider market ensure we are building renewable resources sustainably?
Curtailment highlights the need to better align generation with grid infrastructure. Investment in grid capacity, storage, and flexibility solutions will be critical. At the same time, improved system planning and coordination across projects will help ensure we are building in a way that maximises the value of renewable generation.

UK supply chain is increasingly challenged – how can offshore wind developers get the edge here and avoid future delays?
Early engagement and long-term partnerships are key. Developers who invest in the supply chain – through visibility of project pipelines, collaborative contracting models, and realistic scheduling – will be best placed to avoid delays. There is also a need to strike the right balance between global sourcing and strengthening local capability.
Beyond the work, what makes you tick outside of the office?
I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters (aged one and three) and staying active, particularly running and getting outdoors near the coast. In a moment of postpartum madness, I signed up to a Hyrox event – and have since completed six or seven over the past few years. My next one is in Birmingham this October.
Securing the Future of UK Offshore Wind
Amy and the rest of the OWC UK team will be on-site at this year’s RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind. We’ll bring our expertise across a wide range of technical and engineering services and showcase our ability to support offshore wind projects throughout their lifecycle — from early decision-making to long-term operations.
