Volunteering outing is child’s play for OWC staff
As part of our ongoing voluntary efforts, two teams from OWC recently took a short break away from our London office and spent the day giving back to their local community, volunteering at both Glamis Adventure Playground and Bolton Crescent Adventure Playground.
These small children’s charities, located in East and South-West London, have made a real difference to their local areas by providing a safe and inclusive space for young people to explore their creativity, make new friends and access educational and meal support services.
After learning more about the important work that both organisations are committed to, our teams were eager to get stuck in and ensure that local children can engage with these services for many years to come. A far cry from their typical responsibilities, our staff enthusiastically took on the challenge of painting fences, repairing play equipment, and sprucing up the landscaping of both sites ahead of the busy summer season of outdoor play due to kick off in the coming weeks.
Although tiring work, our teams thoroughly enjoyed their volunteer day, leaving a strong sense of personal achievement and an enhanced collaborative relationship with their fellow colleagues.
