As the USA looks ahead to important offshore wind auctions in the Central Atlantic, Gulf of Maine and Oregon, a critical element in preparing your bid and in evaluating the feasibility of your project is having a comprehensive understanding of the ground conditions at the Wind Energy Areas (WEAs).
OWC’s US-based geoscience team have conducted an in-depth technical study into the geological conditions of offshore wind sites of the BOEM Lease Auction areas. This study integrates various publicly available geo-data sets, which form a high-level, wholistic view of the WEAs to support decision making, initial planning and bid-preparation for the upcoming auctions.
