Can you give us a glimpse into your day-to-day life at OWC?

At OWC, I work within a multidisciplinary team on a variety of engineering and consultancy assignments, primarily focused on the offshore wind sector. My day-to-day responsibilities include providing robust and insightful advice to clients, conducting cost estimation work for early-stage to pre-FID (Final Investment Decision) projects, and performing detailed cost reviews to support offshore wind developers and financiers during transactions.

Every project brings unique challenges, and I enjoy collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions that support the growth of renewable energy.

What inspired you to join your profession?

I’ve always been passionate about the energy transition and wanted to apply my engineering background to meaningful projects. Renewable energy projects bring together technical complexity and a meaningful purpose, contributing to a more sustainable future. That combination is what drew me to this field.

Can you share with us something exciting you are currently working on?

I’m currently involved in several offshore wind projects, where I support clients by reviewing financial models and conducting independent cost estimations. This work plays a key role in helping clients make informed decisions on potential transactions and investments. It’s exciting to be part of projects that are shaping the future of renewable energy, especially at such critical decision-making stages.

Looking ahead, what do you think is key to driving sustainability in your region?

In offshore wind and the wider renewables sector, driving sustainability goes beyond maximising energy output – it requires embedding lifecycle thinking into every stage of a project, from design to decommissioning. As consultants, we play a crucial role in helping clients make informed decisions that balance cost, risk, and environmental impact. Collaboration across the entire value chain will be essential to delivering truly sustainable outcomes at scale.

Besides work, what do you enjoy most working within the ABL Group?

One of the things I enjoy most is the supportive and collaborative culture across the ABL Group. There’s a strong emphasis on learning and development, which keeps things engaging, and the healthy work-life balance means we’re encouraged to grow both professionally and personally. Plus, there’s a real sense of community—whether it’s team socials, knowledge-sharing sessions, or just day-to-day collaboration, it’s a great environment to be part of.
