About
Tom Whittle is the OWC Director of New Technologies. Tom was previously Director of APAC and country manager for Taiwan. He is an offshore professional with over ten years of experience in the project management and execution of engineering for offshore projects. He has strong and diverse experience working as a project engineer and package manager for development and construction projects in the offshore renewables industry, including a large number of offshore wind projects.
Prior to OWC, Tom held roles at Dong Energy, DNV GL and Garrad Hassan. Tom is an expert in project optimisation; optimal layout of the wind farm, installed capacity, WTG type, Interlink, overplanting, foundation choice, inter-array cable layout, system voltage level and floating wind. Tom was leading the decommissioning scope for the EA1 Offshore Met Mast prior to taking over the role of OWC Taiwan country manager.
Tom has worked on feasibility and technical due diligence of a number of offshore wind projects.
