Benoat Danglade is the Service Line Lead for Floating Solar at INNOSEA and OWC France. Since 2019, he has driven the development and enhancement of INNOSEA’s design tools and methodologies for mooring and anchoring systems tailored to floating solar projects. Benoat played a pivotal role in INNOSEA’s contribution to the Joint Industry Project, culminating in the sector’s first recommended practice (DNVGL RP 0584). With expertise spanning feasibility studies, site assessments, detailed design, and construction supervision, he has supported over 80 floating solar projects globally, representing more than 2 GWp of capacity.
Benoat has also delivered owner’s engineering services, innovative mooring designs, and third-party reviews for floating solar projects, primarily in inshore lake settings while supporting the expanding nearshore and offshore markets. He has trained over 250 professionals across 18 companies and has been integral to projects on dam reservoirs and quarry lakes, contributing significantly to the growth and safety of the floating solar sector.
