Ana is Country Manager for OWC in Iberia. She joined OWC in 2019 and has been instrumental in the company’s global expansion. Ana has worked on OWC’s highest-value contracts, covering a wide range of scopes as Owner’s Engineer and Project Manager.
In 2023, Ana took on the role of Country Manager for Iberia, leading OWC’s entry into the Iberian market and providing consultancy in the offshore and onshore renewables sector. She has knowledge of the Spanish and Portuguese market, having worked closely with key industry players and local stakeholders. This deep understanding enables her to navigate market dynamics, identify strategic opportunities, and support clients in achieving successful project outcomes. Her main responsibilities include driving OWC’s growth in the region, managing commercial and operational activities, and developing the operational strategy for the Iberian office. She identifies market growth opportunities, targets new clients, oversees budgets, recruitment forecasts, project pipelines, and strategic growth areas. Additionally, she manages subcontractors, ensuring performance, client satisfaction, and cost efficiency. She also provides leadership and motivation to the growing local team.
Ana’s technical area of expertise is offshore and onshore geosciences. With over 6 years working in OWC, Ana has been involved in offshore wind farm projects in Europe, Asia, America and Australia, and currently has a specific focus on leading the Spanish market. Ana’s experience is mostly related to geosciences package management, as well as supporting the geotechnical team by carrying out pile driveability analyses, early-stage foundation design for offshore wind turbines, geotechnical desktop studies, and site selections for offshore wind farms based on the ground conditions.
Ana’s most recent projects include managing the geosciences survey procurement for three floating offshore wind farms in Scotland, drafting geosciences survey strategies for different projects across the globe based on the country-specific regulations and carrying out concept-level design for offshore wind turbine foundations (fixed and floating). Ana’s detailed knowledge of ground risk and strategies for offshore wind developments is therefore used in active planning of projects, package management and project feasibility assessments.
