What does your day-to-day look like at OWC?

It feels like no two days are the same, which is one of the aspects I love most about my job! Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, whether it is collaborating with colleagues on interesting projects in new geographies, or coordinating with developers, stakeholders, and regulators to ensure project milestones are met.

This dynamic environment keeps me engaged and constantly learning, making every day both exciting and rewarding.

Can you tell us something exciting that you’re working on right now?

Since joining OWC, I have had the opportunity to strengthen the offering of the new Environment and Consents Team, working on a number of exciting projects around the world including floating and fixed offshore wind, floating solar and tidal stream projects.

What inspired you to join your industry?

I was inspired to join the offshore renewables sector because I wanted to be part of a growing and innovative industry, which plays a crucial role in combating climate change. I am driven by the opportunity to work on projects involving cutting-edge technology which have a positive impact on the environment.

What does the future look like in energy and oceans in the United Kingdom?

As I am Welsh, it would be great to see continued progress in the opportunities we have with floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea, as well as developing our understanding of tidal energy devices through projects such as Morlais.

What do you enjoy most about working as part of OWC London?

I am a keen guitarist, and early on in my time at OWC I was introduced to loads of fellow metal-head colleagues. I’ve discovered a lot of new bands through their recommendations!
