What first sparked your interest in the renewable sector?

Coming from Denmark, a country with a rich history in the renewable energy sector, it was natural for me to pursue a career in this field.

Additionally, at a young age, I joined a company specialising in servicing wind turbine generators which led me to my current position with OWC Denmark.

What advice would you give to someone looking to join the renewable energy sector or a company like OWC?

My recommendation is to choose the right company. For me, the ideal company is one with a variety of roles and specialists – like our teams at OWC. This environment allows you to learn a lot and grow within an organisation. Instead of focusing solely on climbing the corporate ladder, take advantage of the opportunities presented to you and surround yourself with the right people!

How do you see OWC Denmark positioning itself within the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector?

OWC Denmark has demonstrated its ability to adapt to the constantly changing and rapidly evolving renewable energy sector. I believe we are well-positioned for growth in 2025!

What are the key challenges you foresee for the offshore wind industry in the next decade, and how should we prepare for them?

The offshore wind industry will face significant challenges in the next decade. Many of these challenges will stem from infrastructure issues, such as the capacity of ports to handle the increasing size and number of wind turbine generators.

Additionally, the constantly growing WTGs will put pressure on the value chain, affecting manufacturing processes and requiring vessel providers to produce new and larger installation vessels. We need to prepare for these challenges through collaboration and investing in innovative solutions.

What have been the biggest benefits you’ve found from working in such a global organisation such as the ABL Group?

I believe the greatest benefit of working at ABL Group is being part of a team with specialists in every area. Additionally, our global presence, combined with local expertise worldwide, enhances our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients!
